Large sized deposits had already been discovered in most cases, so searching smaller objects on territories with developed infrastructure is one of the most interesting tasks. In presentation we will discuss a high-resolution airborne electromagnetic method (AEM) application. It is necessary for searching relatively small objects (less than 200 m in diameter) on territories adjacent to exploited or duffer deposits, consequently with developed infrastructure (roads, power and water supply etc.). As an example, these objects can be impregnation ores or kimberlite pipes. In particular, AEM surveying of 1:5000 scale was held in the area with exploited kimberlite pipe in the Arkhangelsk diamond province (Russia). We will discuss operating characteristics, which are necessary for such scale. First of all it is a solution of navigational task (helicopter piloting along lines and during turns, bird positioning). The second and the main topic is transmitter positioning with respect to receiver and with respect to the ground. System “Equator” allowed providing high measurements sensitivity and good resolution. As a result Equator’s performances and post-processing software from “Geotechnologies” ensured data interpretation success.
