Isothermal section of the Fe-Cr-V ternary at 900°C of the system was studied using metallography, XRD and EPMA. New calculation of equilibria between the α (BCC) and σ phases for the temperatures of 700 to 1150°C. The properties of α phase were calculated from binary data using Toop model. To describe the σ phase the model Fe8(Cr,V)4(Cr,Fe,V)18 was accepted. Parameters of the “mixed” end-members Fe8Cr4V18 and Fe8V4Cr18 were obtained by optimization based on both published and obtained in the present work data for phase equilibria and thermodynamic properties. Good description of the data was achieved though some disagreement remained for V enriched boundary of the σ phase field at 1150°C.
