The problem of evaluation and harmonization of geographical and cartographical soil data attached to small-scale maps can be solved by their integration in GIS medium from the platform of a system approach towards differentiation of the territory. We’ve tried to carry out system concept in the process of the elaboration of small-scale soil maps legends. The result is a system soil map displaying interconnections between soils and all the other landscape natural components. Legacy soil maps display, as a rule, only some of interconnections between soils and other natural components, most commonly, between soils and parent rocks. This is one of the main reasons of disagreement and inconsistence of cartographical soil data attached to small-scale maps.
