In RF we have several servicec which deals with crime investigation on different levels (in different scenarios) , they are: ministry of Internal Affairs (Police) , Ministry of Health, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Justice, Investigative Commetee and departments of special regime objects. So what we do if we have cadaver? In the case of ordinary person death (civilian) it is within the jurisdiction of Investigative Commetee, Police. Forensic Services which are State in our country belong to Ministry of Health, but it has some similar departments in other structures (Ministry of Defence, Invetigative Commetee, Police). But the investigation of skeletal remains always runs by the Forensic department of Ministry of Health. 2nd stage is the additional stage of investigations, which applies in criminal or indentified case. If the first examination came to conclusion that deth was violent, or victim is not identified, Other structures can inpact. For example the questions of biological profile, time since death, inclusion into the database of missing people, ballistic expertise, DNA expertise could be led in different not linked structures. According the law the detective can order the additional expertise from ANY specialist or organization. But meanwhile in some cases they have prescriptions which are sometimes not logic and are not flexible.
