This presentation is to summarize basic restrictions and requirements to design of bi-SQUID-based systems. A bi-SQUID was suggested with the purpose of attaining a high linearity voltage output in an open loop configuration. The linear output is formed over two successive nonlinear signal transformations through tuning them to the mutually inverse ones. This tuning has to be set through design parameters, which cannot be additionally adjusted during operation. A required accuracy depends on both the linearity level and values of the chosen optimal parameters. Be based on feasible fidelity of the design and fabrication techniques, one has to choose a tradeoff between the attainable linearity and other device characteristics.
