The report presents the results of studies of sulfated clinkers and cements based upon them. The conditions of formation of sulfated minerals such as calcium sulfoaluminate, sulfoferrite and sulfoalu-mioferrite are considered. The main physical and chemical characteristics of sulfated minerals are presented. Technological peculiarities of production of clinkers, which have sulfated minerals, are studied. The proper-ties of cements that are based on various sulfated clinkers are shown. Consideration is given to the possibili-ties of using these clinkers for production of expanding, self-stressing, rapid-setting, fast hardening, corro-sion-resistant, and oil-well cements. Examples of their usage both in construction and in other industries is discussed.
