The modern population structure of Pacific cod was formed in the Pleistocene-Holocene period, with its features of transgressions and regressions of the World ocean waters, and forming of the relief in the north Pacific region. Summarized the results of the few population-genetic studies of Pacific cod, a generalized scheme of the organization of Pacific cod population are presented
