We have implemented really the two-point Dixon method, however, plan to refine our software to realize also the three-point option, weakly sensitive to the inhomogeneity of the field. The additional aim is to create the reading MRI-signal at different stages of echo in single scanning cycle. Our preliminary results indicate that the combination of inversion-recovery and Dixon techniques creates optimal conditions for simultaneous suppression of signals of water and fat or other tissues with specific longitudinal relaxation time and chemical shift. Thus expanding the arsenal of MRI tools for diagnosis takes place.
