CLAS detector at Jefferson Lab provided only available worldwide information on electrocouplings of low-liyng (M<1.6 GeV) excited nucleon states (N*) from independent analyses of the data on single and charged double pion electroproduction off protons. Consistent results on gvNN* electrocouplings from the data of two major meson electroproduction channels with completely different non-resonant mechanisms offer a sound evidence for reliable extraction of these fundamental quantities. Theoretical analyses of these results revealed a combined contribution to the structure of low-lying N* from an internal core of three constituent quarks and external meson-baryon cloud at photon virtualities Q^2<5.0 GeV^2
