In article the problems of integration of geographic information resources and providing free access to them for environmental research are considered. Integration of cartography, geoinformatics and remote sensing is considered as a basis of researching technologies in the Earth science. The most significant reasons for integration: - unity of the object of study and common goals; -unity of cartographic, mathematical, geoinformation methods and multimedia simulation; -similar processes of visual perception and recognition of any geoimages; - common technical tools, methods and techniques of primary data collection, as well as ways of storing, processing and dissemination of information; application of the same measurement procedures and methods of spatial analysis, etc. The direction in which these trends are demonstrated: - Cooperation at the methods and technologies level for gathering, storing, processing, transformation and final presentation of spatio-temporal information; - The formation of a unified organized structures in the field of remote sensing, geoinformatics and cartography and related industries at the public services and private enterprises level ; - Development of common national and international standards, preparation and adoption of common scientific and technical standards for spatial information and metadata.
