In this work we show that the formation of ordered structures can be facilitated by the presence of a patterned surface, near which the synthesis of random multiblock copolymers takes place [1]. In our simulations initially miscible bicomponent blend of monomers is copolymerized and microphase separation occurs. We show that while in the bulk no long-range order is observed, the system easily undergoes the transition to a well-defined structure near a patterned substrate. And later this structure is stable upon pattern removal. We test different patterns and define the main geometry requirements of pattern replication inside the polymer film volume. In particular, we test stripes, cylinders and corners (see Fig. 1) as a pattern. We analyze the reaction conditions under which structures with long-range order are formed and the block-length distributions characteristic of such states.
