At present, the human genetic identification does not meet its proper place in forensic didactics which is irrelevant to the level of scientific development as well as the value and scope of the implementation of methods for studying human genetic characteristics in the practice of law enforcement. This adversely affects the jurists’ knowledge of the modern possibilities of genetic identification, understanding of its theoretical and methodological foundations, and, consequently, their ability to timely and properly assign the examination and assess the significance of expert conclusions. Introduction of human genetic identification (as a new branch of forensic technology) to the course of criminalistics will contribute to the more complete and correct use the potential of genetic identification in legal proceedings. The problem under consideration is important not only for genetic identification. It must be taken into account in relation to other science-intensive areas embedded in forensic practice but have not yet found an adequate reflection by forensic didactics, which was and still is unduly conservative. With the rapid development of modern science and technology, significant acceleration in the context of globalization of the transition from scientific research to the practice, the inclusion of new knowledge in educational programs should occur much more rapidly.
