On the basis of a single-mode single-frequency pulsed passively Q-switched YAG:Nd3+ laser the system that allows one to study the nonlinear optical properties of liquid placed into an optical cell at the temperature range of 25-100 ºС is developed and created. We investigated optical limiting (OL) in aqueous suspensions of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and detonation nanodiamonds (DNDs) at a wavelength of 532 nm. We found that heating of MWCNTs suspension from room temperature of 20 ºC to 90 ºC significantly improves the OL efficiency. At the same time the heating of aqueous DNDs suspensions at the same conditions does not affect the OL performance.
