It is the only independently-founded national social organization which given FORUM as its name in China. World Cultural Forum (Taihu, China) was founded in March 2008. Its executive board of directors is located in Beijing. World Cultural Forum (Taihu, China) aims to provide an open, comprehensive and pluralistic high-level platform to promote global cultural communication. It sincerely invites all the people with different cultural background to join in the cultural communication and cooperation of culture. The primary mission of World Cultural Forum (Taihu, China) is to explore new ways of building a harmonious world with harmonious culture. In the world today, environmental pollution, food security, and excessive medical treatment have become long-lasting problems that threaten human survival. Therefore the construction of ecological civilization has been regarded as a main task which is directly relevant to human’s health and life safety. Along with the new era of ecological civilization coming, traditional medicine produces new vitality. As an important part of traditional medicine, traditional Chinese medicine embodies the key notions of ecology civilization, which are respecting nature, obeying the law of nature, and protecting nature. The views on life, health and disease give human beings some 3 enlightenment on sustainable development. For that reason, World Cultural Forum (Taihu, China) plan to hold the High-level Conference on the Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture 2014 (Macao), which is around the theme that Inheriting, Innovating and Developing Traditional Chinese Medicine, Marching in a New Era of Ecological Civilization. There will be about 1000 participants to attend the conference, including Chinese and foreign politics, masters of traditional Chinese medicine, representatives from some international organizations, famous experts, business leaders, and professionals from the press. They will focus on a series of topics, including Ecological Civilization and Traditional Medicine, Construction of Ecological Civilization and Innovation of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Sustainable Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine, to discuss and exchange their ideas intensively.
