  The Seventh International Conference Quantum Theory and Symmetries (QTS7), organized by the Departments of Mathematics and Physics, Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague, the Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research and the Institute of Physics at the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, belongs to a successful series of conferences which began at Goslar, Germany in 1999. More recent QTS conferences were held in Poland, Bulgaria, USA and Spain. QTS7 gathered around 300 scientists from all over the world. 136 of the plenary lectures and contributions presented at QTS7 are published in this issue of Journal of Physics: Conference Series. We acknowledge support from the Commission for co-operation with JINR Dubna and grant LA-08002 from the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic.
