  in May 2012, from 21st to 25th, the 6th edition of the Workshop "Advances in Foundations of Quantum Mechanics and Quantum Information with atoms and photons" will be held in Torino (Italy), at Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica (INRIM). Purpose of this Workshop, also known as Quantum, is to promote the exchange of ideas and discussion on the latest results achieved by leading physicists working in the interconnected fields of Quantum Information and Foundations of Quantum Mechanics, in particular in the framework of quantum optics. It is organised in memory of our colleague and friend Carlo Novero who gave birth to this research branch at INRIM. About 200 researchers from all over the world participated in the latest edition of this Workshop in 2010. It would be a great honour for us if you could participate as Invited Speaker in Quantum 2012 and present a talk on your latest works. You would be our guest: no fee payment is required. If needed, a support for travel and accommodation will be provided upon request. The deadline for the submission of the abstract is January 15th 2012. Please confirm, at your earlier convenience, your intention to participate in the Workshop to submit an extended paper to be published on a special issue of International Journal of Quantum Information by World Scientific Publ.
