The concept of size-dependent material properties becomes dominant in the materials science community. Understanding the size-dependent properties of materials is the most challenging issue in the advanced materials science. To a great extent this is a result of the technological requirements concerning the development of materials with controlled properties, as well as of the recent progress in materials science, nanotechnology and computational chemistry. The aim of the workshop is to provide a scientific forum for debate and exchange of ideas among European scientists. SizeMat3 is the 3rd in the series of international workshops in Bulgaria organized by Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences – one of the leading regional institutes in the area of materials for environmental impact. The previous workshops were held in Varna (2006) and Nessebar (2010). The present workshop SizeMat3 (2021, Pomorie, Bulgaria) will range over the following areas in materials science: Topic A: MATERIALS AND THIN FILMS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION Topic B: MATERIALS FOR CLEAN ENERGY STORAGE Topic C: CERAMICS/BIOCERAMICS AND GLASSES FOR BETTER LIFE
