  Sources of competitiveness and business strategies allowing to take competitive advantage are often in the centre of theoretical as well as empirical discussion. While these sources and strategies work under standard economic conditions, it might not be case under different economic shocks. It has been almost one year that we have been facing huge pandemic shocks. We might find many problems in areas of production, processing, packaging, delivery, invoicing and payment that the producers must cope with. On the other hand, this situation provides the opportunity and huge challenge for produces that are, for example, flexible in production and innovative in logistics and marketing channels. What are other sources of competitiveness, successful business strategies, examples of good practices and innovations? The conference intends to provoke discussion about this question. In particular, the conference seeks for studies on sources of competitiveness, business strategies and innovations in the time of pandemic or environmental shocks. The general topic of the conference provides not only a platform for discussing theoretical issues, but also for sharing experiences, identifying practical problems and exploring which solutions can be clarified with the assistance of the scientific community. This calls for papers from researchers, academics and practitioners in the fields of agricultural economics and management, informatics, agricultural policy and rural development. Authors are invited to submit abstracts in electronic format via the link ap.pef.czu.cz by 14th March 2021.
