  With the series of annual Joint HZB User Meetings we bring together the two user communities of BESSY II and BER II. The aim of this series of annual meetings is intensifying the scientific exchange and stimulating new collaborations between these scientific communities. In the framework of the user platform SYNERGY (SYnchrotron radiation and NEutron Research GatewaY) HZB operates two large scale facilities for investigating the structure and function of matter: the research reactor BER II, for experiments with neutrons, and the electron storage ring BESSY II, producing ultra bright photon beams ranging from the Terahertz regime to hard X-rays. The meetings will provide an overview of the many exciting and inspiring research results obtained at our facilities in the past year. A key-note lecture, plenary talks, discussions, a public lecture and a poster session will provide vast possibilities of information and discussion.
