  As in the past, this conference has included a diversity of topics presented by authors from many different institutions. This brings a plurality of interests and perspectives to a single location. We hope you take advantage of this opportunity and contribute, through presentations, discussion and interaction, to the development of new ideas and new directions in research and applied technology. In line with updated research in the various areas the following topics are included in the programme: Vascular Function, Cerebrovascular disease, Heart diseases, Venous diseases, Microcirculation, Inflammation, Numerical Modeling and Simulation, New techniques in Hemorheology, Rheology and Biomaterials, Metabolic disorders, Hemostasis / platelets, Endothelial Cells, Exercise, Experimental and Clinical Microcirculation, Interaction of blood cells with body foreign surfaces, Drug interactions with blood cells, New techniques in Hemorheology. The programme is organised in plenary sessions, free communications and a poster session. As usual, symposia will also make part of the conference agenda and these are organised by National Societies or other members of the International Advisory Committee with submission of abstracts by invitation only.
