  Some peculiarities of microphase separation (ordering) in confined block copolymer and polyelectrolyte systems with 1D (cylindrical) and 2D (slab) geometries as compared to the bulk systems are discussed. In particular, some results of the microscopic theory (helical structures in block copolymer and polyelectrolyte systems confined in cylindrical geometry and asymmetric structures in thin films) are presented.
