The main objective of this symposium is to gather reknowned chemists and physicists working in the field of EMS experiments and related research topics, in order to enable fruitful discussions over recent progresses made with regard to the realization of these experiments under various conditions as well as to their theoretical interpretation using quantum chemistry in momentum space. Topics covered by this symposium include: - nuclear dynamical, distorted wave and electron-electron correlation effects in electron impact (e,2e) and (e,3e) ionization processes; - orbital imaging experiments in the presence of an external laser field, on aligned molecules or an ultracooled supersonic molecular beams; - high-resolution orbital imaging experiments, down to vibrational energy resolution; - time-resolved orbital imaging experiments, down to subnanosecond time resolution; - orbital imaging experiments on liquids or ultra thin films; - theoretical relationships between Kohn-Sham and Dyson orbitals; - development of new chemical concepts in momentum space; - (e,2e) ionization experiments at low energies or at high momentum transfer; - resonant plasmon (e,2e) experiments.
