Аннотация:Fluxes of relativistic electrons formed during the interaction of trapped and precipitating relativistic-belt (RB) protons in the earth's atmosphere are calculated. The ratio of positron fluxes to electron fluxes formed in pion-muon-electron decay with an electron energy greater than 25 MeV is equal to 4-10 at balloon heights and to 4.1-4.7 in the trapping region. It is shown that about 90 percent of the flux of relativistic RB electrons is formed due to the direct acceleration of electrons in the magnetosphere to energies of 100 MeV, or due to the fast transfer of the electrons from the periphery of the magnetosphere deeper into the magnetosphere during magnetic disturbances.
