Аннотация:Results are presented of investigations of standing two-dimensional gravitational waves on the free surface of a homogeneous liquid for vertical vibrations of a rectangular vessel. The waves are excited in conditions of the Faraday resonance. The frequency ranges of wave excitation are determined. Manifestations of nonlinearity of the excited waves are estimated: wave profile asymmetry and node oscillations. The resonant dependences for the second and third modes are analyzed. Appearance of unstable forms of oscillations are considered. Experimental results are compared with theoretical ones.
