Аннотация:The probability of the conversion decay of nuclei excited in hot dense femtosecond laser plasma is considered in relation to the ionization and recombination kinetics of plasma. For the first excited state of an Hg-201, nucleus (the excitation takes place in plasma created by laser irradiation of a solid target at an intensity of 3 x 10(16) W/cm(2)), the suppression of internal conversion by more than one-half is shown to be retained for a time comparable to the lifetime of the excited state of the nucleus.
