The physico-chemical and electro-chemical properties of ANI and EDOT copolymers were studied. It was shown that ANI and EDOT copolymers dispersions in water and polar solvents are very stable and can’t be phase separated by basidifying of the system. The observed phenomenon can be explained by following: the complexes between PSSA and PANI and/or PEDOT are stabilized by hydrophobic and --interactions and not by ionic interactions. The cyclic volamperograms of ANI and EDOT homo- and copolymers show that the increase of EDOT content in copolymer leads to its electrochemical stability increase. PANI-PSSA complex is electrochemicaly unstable due to phenazine moiety formation during cyclic voltammetry and the decrease of its content in copolymer leads to the increase of integral copolymer stability. The conductivity of the copolymers considerably lower comparing to the ones for homopolymers. However the conductivity of the copolymers can be increased in several times by changing the order of comonomers addition, i.e. first polymerizing EDOT and only after formation enough amount of PEDOT-PSSA addition of ANI. Thus it can be suggested that in the case of simultaneous addition of comonomers very short sequences of EDOT links form which disturb the conjugated chain of PANI and due to their very low degree of polymerization don’t include into the integral copolymer conductivity. Based on all data the mechanism of ANI and EDOT copolymerization was suggested.
