Abstract: The analysis of vertical velocities for Earth’s crust movements is performed for distinct places and for averaged meanings at regions. The station’s positions and velocities of points on the earth's crust from the international system of coordinates ITRF2000, ITRF2005, ITRF2008 are used as the input data. To do global analysis, all starting velocity values were averaged on 5° × 5° grid and expanded in terms of spherical function system up to degree N = 18. The analysis of the expansion coefficients led to conclusions about the asymmetric vertical velocities of different hemispheres (harmonics for n = 1,3), and decreasing of Earth’s oblateness (harmonics for n = 2, m = 0). The statistical analysis of the expansion leads to next principal conclusion: the bad convergence and increasing of variance for nN→ are indicated the incoherent disposition of vertical velocities and so they don’t characterized the global movement of Earth’s crust. The maps of the vertical velocities were compared with the maps of vertical stresses of the Earth's crust, received by us. It was showed, that the regions of positive velocities of the Earth (Fennoscandia, Canada, Antarctica) correlate with the regions of vertical tension stresses, and the regions of negative velocities correlate with the regions of vertical compression stresses. The detailed analysis of the results for distinct Earth’s regions is carried out.
