A comprehensive overview of the present status of fundamentals of particle physic is given. The volume is dedicated to the centenary of Bruno Pontecorvo, therefore a reasonable number of papers are devoted to the history, present status and prospects in neutrino physics. The volume contains 80 papers that is a well balanced among theory and experiment, and among general reviews and more detailed and technical articles as well, a compact and rather general overview in the field.
